Creating Astro Connect Cards

This has been a beautiful rollercoaster of emotions, from the name, color scheme, and design to the demo games, soft launch, and then printing out the practice cards. 

The name Astro Connect Cards was probably the easiest part of the entire process. I instantly felt passionate about the name. I tried to document this process as much as possible, but it was mostly me sitting at my desk facing a blank wall from 11 pm to 4 am, writing and dreaming of what I imagined my perfect life to be. It was my playlist and me against the walls of self-doubt I've built over a few years. The self-analysis I was putting myself through was borderline torture but necessary. 

How can I express my vision to others if I don't know what I want? 

I thrive in collaborative situations, so I knew the first thing I needed was someone with more discipline than I to help me create the world of Astro Connect. So I contacted a creative genius, her being the Gemini to my Sagittarius results in magic every time. I will dedicate a post to her soon so we can dive deeper into the beautiful icons we birthed. 

After committing the name Astro Connect Cards, I used Pinterest to create my world. What does it feel like to buy these cards? What is invoking you to search for something like this? What does my customer look like? What is their favorite hobby? Job? Relationship with themselves? What makes them laugh? Feel seen? What are some questions they need answered? This has to be one of my favorite parts of building a brand and business. Who is my audience and how do we fit into their life? 

You're AMAZING! You welcome different points of view because that helps you grow and create your own opinions. We all need a little nudge to get conversations going, whether intimate, friendly, or family relationships. 

I noticed a theme of the "taboo' topics shifting throughout the last few years. It's become less taboo to ask someone about their intimate relationships but more taboo to ask how they FEEL! 

Connecting to others is what keeps me excited about life. I've been in the world of astrology for most of my life, and I have been in it professionally since 2014. It's a part of my daily conversations with others and myself. It's a beautiful tool to use to get to know someone. It allows the barriers to come down because it's all relatable. I want Astro Connect to be used as a tool to get past the awkward small talk to something deeper and have it feel like a fun journey, not a therapy session you didn't sign up for.
